When Paul Adderley was 14 he realised he wasn’t getting the game time he wanted because of his size. So he took control of the situation by deciding to become a referee.
His advice to any young person wanting to get started is to get in touch with your local referee society and find out about getting on a local refereeing course. Then when you’ve completed the course, get in touch with the society again and ask them to get you involved in a young person’s scheme.
