Flash, a 5 year old male ball python was rescued from a severe neglect situation. His terrarium hadn't been cleaned in a year, his water dish had severe algae growing in it, he had no heat, no light and no humidity. He was fed semi regularly. Due to the poor conditions he endured, he has some health issues that we're working on resolving now. This is the first video that will document our efforts to bring Flash back to good health. Unfortunately, we discovered a severe infection under the retained eye cap and stopped the removal process. We are treating the infection and attempting to force a shed by increasing humidity, feed and moisturizing his skin. We hope this will allow him to shed the eye caps naturally with no ill effects. Given the severity of the infection, we fear he is permanently blind in the one eye.
